Hurricane Irene
To prepare for the coming storm and with the safety of our members, guests and staff in mind, the following changes have been made to this weekend's schedule:
* The pool and snack bar will be closed both Saturday and Sunday. The pool will reopen Monday, conditions permitting.
* Weather permitting, the golf course will be available for play Saturday morning. All players will be required to be off the course by 3pm. The course will reopen Tuesday morning, conditions permitting. Please see Frank's blog for the most up to date information regarding course conditions. http://www.fhfcgreendepartment.blogspot.com/
* The range and lower practice facility will close at 11am.
* The bag room will close shortly after 3pm on Saturday and will remain closed Sunday and Monday.
* The clubhouse will be open for both breakfast and lunch on Saturday. The building (including the Pro Shop) will close at 4pm and will reopen Tuesday morning as per our regular schedule.

Anna Sposito left Naples, Italy with her young children, then two and four years old, and arrived in the US on July 18, 1998. She worked for several years in catering prior to coming to Forest Hill in February of 2007. Wednesday, August 16, 2011 was another important day for Anna; she became a US citizen! The whole process took about three years and makes her children Antonio, 15, and Angela, 17, citizens as well. Congratulations to the whole family!

Welcome Jim!
Jim Lorenzo will have his first day at The Hill tomorrow in a newly created position, Director of ala Carte Services. The intention of the title is two fold. Jim comes to us with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the food and beverage industry, most notably as co-owner of the highly acclaimed Metuchen Inn. The new title is to alert the membership that this person is equipped to handle your needs and concerns. Please feel free to share with him what you see and how you feel; it will help him assimilate that much faster. The second point is to distinguish roles. Jim will cover all areas of member satisfaction, as we all do, but will be focused specifically on the dining rooms. Jason Mongiovi, on the other hand, continues as Clubhouse Manager, but now with a second title, Director of Catering. Need a dinner reservation? Call Jim. Interested in catering? That's Jason. Can you mess up? Absolutely not. Jim, Jason, myself and the rest of the staff are more that willing to help in any way possible at any time. As for Jim, his balance of professionalism and approachability are just two of the reasons why I believe he is going to be very successful at FHFC. Please join me in welcoming Jim to the Forest Hill family ... and note: we're one step closer to Project Wait List!
