As you are all aware, the past year has been challenging for Donna and I as we have been dealing with the sudden and tragic death of my brother John. In a very special way, the membership of Forest Hill has been a tremendous source of strength for us during this difficult time. From the presence shown at the memorial service last June, to the numerous individual expressions of sympathy and support, to the multitude of mass and prayer cards to the most recent participation in the Johnny Mac Golf outing hosted by the West Point class of 1986 - your support has been overwhelming. Donna and I wanted to show our gratitude and recognize Forest Hill for all the love and support you have shown us.
Working with head pro Vince Ramagli and green superintendant Frank Tichenor, Donna on I have purchased American Flag pin flags for the golf course and the practice green. We would like to present these to the membership at Forest Hill as a sign of our appreciation for all they have done for us this past year or so. We suggest they be flown on the golf course 3 times during the year – Memorial Day, July 4th and September 11. They can be a helpful reminder of what these days truly mean. In addition, when these pin flags are used, the membership should feel proud, honored and inspired for the help and support they provided to us during this time.
On behalf of the entire McHugh family, we will never forget all you have done for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Jim McHugh
